As a business, we take very seriously the impact our activity has on our environment. These days of drought, forest fires, global warming and deforestation are huge issues and throw in that we seem to love dumping waste in landfill where ever there’s room to do so, we have a big problem. We cannot and must not continue to damage our environment in this way.

Another Lockdown!
It’s not what anyone wanted but it really was inevitable with cases of Covid19 close to 60,000 a day and high daily death tolls.
Second Lockdown
The Prime Minister on Saturday 31st October announced that there will be a second lockdown throughout England.
Getting Back to Business!
At long last we have a number of furloughed members of the team returning after their time away from the business, including the sales and marketing teams so we can start to get back to growth and creating opportunities once again.
Staff Returning to Work
As businesses begin to return to work, we’ve produced a risk assessment to understand what may have or has changed in the customers premises we look after. Some have already returned but over 200 staff are ready to re-start work as the customers request us to do so. We’ve developed a risk assessment / information booklet to give those ready to return an idea about what to expect and also give instructions about duties and where to go for help, if required.
Keeping Your Staff and Customers Safe from Covid 19
With businesses looking at ways of protecting staff and customers the best they can, we’ve been looking at innovative ways to keep you as safe as possible. One system of keeping Covid 19 off every surface in a building is to ‘fog’ with Zoono.
Opening Back Up
Quite a few businesses are now asking about a pre-clean before staff start back to work again, albeit in reduced numbers or a staggered return.
Covid19 in Medical Centres
We’ve been doing a lot of deep cleans where there these has been both suspected and positive cases of Coronavirus in medical centres.
Message for Furloughed Staff
So that we can make the furlough payment to you please can you email sarah@edwardscleaningltd.com confirming that you agree to be furloughed, if you haven’t already done so.
If you are unable to email, please send a letter to Edwards Commercial Cleaning Services Ltd., The Grainger Suite, Dobson House, Regent Centre, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne NE3 3PF.
Because the money is coming from the Government, we will be unable to make furlough payments to you without a confirmatory email or letter. The Government need to know that you have agreed to be furloughed before payment will be made.
If you’re sending in an email, please ensure your name and place of work are clearly written, some emails are not clear who sent them and some people ask family or friends to send the email on their behalf.
