Just when we thought the new normal had arrived, it’s all change as Covid19 raises it’s ugly head once again.
To say it has been a difficult year for everyone is probably a huge understatement but it’s the Yo Yo effect that really seems to bite. We had the initial lockdown and then slowly, very slowly, we started to see pubs, restaurants and business re-open. Then back came the schools and sport started up again. Now we have a return of Coronavirus and things have started to lock down once again. The difference this time is the weather isn’t going to improve, the nights will be longer and the family time and celebrations of Christmas and New Year will, no doubt be affected.
But please remember, it will end. One day we’ll all get back to the new normal which will be better than what we have now.
It’s going to be difficult this Winter for most but extremely hard for others. Look out for others and if you’re suffering, please don’t be afraid to ask for help. I think it will be important to look out for working colleagues, neighbours, friends and family who are having a bad time. There are plenty of people who can and will help and of course the professionals out there who are experts in mental health are prepared to assist.
